FUCK you corporate America and FUCK fundamentalist religious fools. In the name of ease and self preservation you took the easy way out to solve a problem (child exposure) that needed aggressive community involved policing. Yes, getting rid of all NSFW content solves your problem, but at what cost? This is such a slap in the face of inclusivity, diversity and a rich sea of humanity. There will always be toxic actors and fringe lunacy, but taking the Handmaids Tale approach was such a tone deaf, knee jerk response. You are making a huge mistake. And the tragedy is that you cannot course correct fast enough to change the outcome. This vibrant community allowed access to acceptance. A place to shed judgement and fear. That is such a rare treasure in a world full of hate and rejection. There are young people coming of age who will walk in unfamiliar steps, unaware that there are seasoned veterans who were once on the same path. Those connections would help heal the ones that stepped out into the void lonely, and it would have kept the curious from receiving the same scars. I know that there are employees that did not/ do not agree with this direction. I applaud them for being our voice. Our kinks and our struggles will continue elsewhere when we all float away from this place, and we will stake claims on new places for expression. But this was so needlessly malignant.
