moriah-explains-it-all:apersnicketylemon:the-treble:howtobeafuckinglady:s1uts:blackfemalepresident:cankrist:governmentnamedeactivated2015:dappergains:Debunks all those arguments that say eating healthy is too expensive.Where the fuck do you live where a pound of chicken breast is 98 cents Eating healthy is still less expensive than regular fast foodprobably an upper middle class neighborhood. food is less expensive in fancy neighborhoodshealthy foods are not this cheap in the hood and im so tired of middle class white people acting like healthy eating is cheap & simplecome down to the “scary” part of town and shop for food and your perspective will change on some shit This whole post is bullshit and these prices are exaggerated af chicken breast by themselves are like almost 10 dollars wtf is this trashOne gallon skim milk is $2? It was fucking TEN DOLLARS where I used to live.Where the fuck are these people getting their prices??? I have NEVER seen peaches at 98c a pound, and 10 pounds of potato’s for $2??? Where is that?????????? Cuz it sure as shit ain’t here. Also the lowest I have ever seen corn (And this is at the height of corn season in an area that produces quite a bit of corn, the prices are higher out of peak corn season) the lowest it goes is $3 for 6 ears of corn so saying it’s $2 for 8 ears is clearly an outright bullshit number. Seriously where the fuck are these prices from because food here is well over twice what they’re saying. Seriously! Milk is $4 a gallon here. 5 lbs of potatoes is $3 (on sale) and 2 lbs of chicken generally goes about $6+. And I live in an area right near all those chicken farms so we have it cheap as it gets. I’ve seen peaches at $1.50 a pound, but haven’t seen 98 cents since I was in high school. (Better part of 17 years ago) This post is ridiculous. It’s classist and just ridiculous. If you are blessed beyond belief to live in a place with low cost of living/low grocery prices, peachy. Good for you. But where you live, and your prices =/= everyone’s prices. What the fuck is this? Those groceries would be at least 30 dollars where I live -- source link
