Did I really write that?Adidas was very popular when I was a kid. You could say that in the 1980s, brands came into fashion. Fashion became fashionable. Run DMC had their song, “My Adidas” (1986), tennis stars Steffi Graf and Ivan Lendl had Adidas, everyone wore Adidas. I had a few pairs too, not because I cared a lot about brands, but because there was no way of not having them. And they were good shoes actually, solid and flexible.Americans are sometimes ridiculed for pronouncing the name wrong (it’s “AH-dee-das”): don’t worry about that, ask us Europeans to pronounce The Sixth Sense. -- source link
