apoherm:reviewsium I’m currently reading Demons, Virginia Woolf’s essays and Hamlet at the same time and I’m really enjoying it this way! I don’t need “to force” myself to keep reading a single book until the end before beginning a new one, and I switch to a different topic whenever I feel like it. It’s so refreshing! Usually I prefer to stick to one you know, for the continuity of the plot, but this month there were too many interesting books I didn’t want to rush. Reading aside, days ago my mum gifted me this well-worn book called La Smorfia (The Neapolitan Grimace) a traditional manual of interpretating dreams by numbers’ association, belonging to her great-grandfather. After her father passed away she kept it and decided to give it to me now because of my interest in books and vintage-like texts. Flipping through it I’ve found my grandfather’s notes, thoughts, it’s cute ! unfortunately he passed away before I was born but they always told me nice things about him and how much we had in common. I’m gonna keep this book as a piece of him. -- source link
