Most conversations about reparations center around the issue of slavery (as they should). However, we could completely take slavery out of the equation and still see a country that has time and again invested in the development of white wealth while divesting from BIPOC communities. Reparations should address slavery, and they should also address centuries of policies following slavery in which white people were just straight up given land or money by the government. We must DEMAND reparations. The wealth gap is a creation of mankind (normally we would say humankind to be gender inclusive, but this is actually one time when men should be emphasized for their role), so it has to be deconstructed as intentionally as it was constructed. Please read up and educate yourselves about these policies and more. There is so much more than what could fit on these slides so stay tuned for part 2. We could create our own currency. While we do that we could invest trillions through black banks that would continually generate unlimited returns. Additionally we could pay off the entire debt of all black African nations. And have trillions remaining for grants. Three step solution: - Fix immigration so it begins to benefit Africans. One google search and you’ll see how damaging it has been for black people. - Reparations for the collective. - Powernomics We are the constant minority and predetermined to stay that way unless something changes. Don’t let them tell you about individual reparation payments. No single person should decide how best to distribute reparations. It should be what is best for the collective not the individual. Entire villages were brought here not individuals. It’s better that HBCU’s get a trillion in funding rather than individual students receiving a lump sum – only to then put the money right back into the hands of billionaire whites/Eurasians. Contrary to bs beliefs we wouldn’t be buying guns. We would buy sensible things like homes (all the materials made by white manufacturers), cars (all made by white companies), and fixing or strengthening our credit (all within the white banking system). That money would intern strengthen their grip on African resources. That money should go into black banks that would then distribute the money whether for HBCU’s, grants/loans or investments. We don’t need to destroy the system. We just need to attach our parachute to it. -- source link
