First failure of the year woohoo! I got this idea to use Plastimake as a mould. By sticking leaves on it so it catches the details and then when it’s set use clay to pick up the details. I stupidly use my acrylic rolling pin to press the leaves and the soft plastimake ended up sticking to the rolling pin and I can’t clean it no matter what I did. The leaves mould thing didn’t even work, the clay can’t pick up much detail ughhh. So I wanted to use Plastimake for its full potential. I sculpted this dragon entirely with plastimake. I never use plastimake before so it was interesting and fun to experiment the material. Also major shout out to Plastimake for coming in beads form and made my life a lot easier when it comes to doing the dragon’s scale. I had to keep heating the hot water though. Which is good, so I don’t sit on my bum all day :DThere’s still lots to improve but I’m pretty happy with the result. Will definitely use plastimake again in the future. -- source link
