Users could obtain clean white laundry after boiling it just once, without rubbing and bleaching. The company practiced innovative marketing, like offering the powder in a cardboard packaging. 1908 white dressed male models in white suites with white umbrellas were strolling thru Berlin. 1924 Henkel presented the first silent image movie and in the 1950s Persil was the first spot in German TV. -- source link
