anarchist-left:perspectiverelativity:anarchist-left:Fascism and imperialism are symptoms of capitalism.Could you please explain how these things are caused by market economies?There’s much literature on this but I’m going to break it down a bit. Capitalism’s main feature is private property of the means of production. That causes alienation from one’s own work which compromises a huge part of everyone’s life. Therefore the working people have to be controlled and manipulated; they shall not resist against their unjust living conditions. That’s why their anger must be directed at, for example, people of another religion or ethnicity, but NOT against the elite which is the main cause of the working people’s demise. Fascism, as well as racism, is the best strategy to do that: people will just hate their brothers and sisters (who are innocent) instead of the elite which is the “root of evil” and who uphold capitalism. Imperialism is a strategy for satisfying capitalism’s incredible hunger for growth and profits. It’s as simple as that: EVERY capitalist state has got imperialist ambitions, just because they want to survive; they NEED to rule the world’s resources and and capacities in order to survive.
