New POP CAVEN T-Shirt Collection Looks to Golden Age of Afro-Funk for Inspiration.Taking cues from the experimental Afro-rock and Afrobeat scene of the 1970s, POP CAVEN looks to sound pioneers The Psychedelic Aliens of Ghana and Nigeria’s Fela Kuti as inspiration for their High Summer Men’s T-Shirt Collection. Iconic phrases such as, “original suffer head,” “expensive shit,” “I no be gentleman at all o,” and “zombie”, the latter written out in classic heavy metal typography usually associated with British band Iron Maiden, are printed in minimal fashion across the tees as an homage to the age of Afro-Funk dominance. -- source link
