It’s been a while since I’ve posted any of my own plants. Here’s #Monstera subpinnata. This one was almost lost, but I managed to save a cutting, plant it in sphagnum moss, and it’s been happy ever since. In fact, I’ve had such awesome results with transplanting cuttings to sphagnum (in amber jars like this one) that I have quite a few small things growing in this format now.~Otherwise, honestly, it hasn’t been a good fall/winter. I do feel happy for the 100+ things that are doing fine, but in 2018 I’d lost a few more plants that had been growing wonderfully for years, only to fail suddenly for various reasons (moving them, over-watering even once, broke one, etc.) One was a rare philodendron I’m still feeling awful about. I wish I had photos of them from when they were flourishing.~I’m also at max capacity light-source-wise, to the point that I have dreams that I’m living somewhere with more windows. So, I’ve been trying to just enjoy and care for what I have and haven’t added anything new in many months.~That’s where I’m at. A mixture of contentment and sadness.
