This time of the year, it’s easy to get caught up in bustle of the holiday and forget to take time for yourself. A new year is approaching, and with all of the hope and trepidation it entails it can be edifying to reflect on the year that’s passed. What have we learned? What can we improve on? This collage, which is the December image in our 2017 calendar, feels like looking ahead to what’s to come. The explorer looks over his shoulder and takes in the vastness of space: full of possibility and mystery—much like the new year. ****“Lonely Planet” digital collage by Andrea GottschalkSources:*Henri Lecouturier.
