By Salar Kheradpejouh The first series of a multiple-part “Exodus Islands” anthology was shot in Nairobi. It documents the harsh circumstances drug users in the slums of Kenya’s capital are subjected to. In 2017, I started research on the correlation between substance abuse and economic poverty. In order to fully grasp this issue, I had to visually scope its two main variables - poverty and drug abuse - in their unfiltered, most extreme forms, leading me on a journey to the darkest parts of Kenya in January 2018. #salarkheradpejouh #photography #blackandwhite #photodocumentary #socialdocumentary #photojournalism #africa #drugabuse #nairobihttps://www.instagram.com/p/BmgWHKRlFbP/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=24ngjvfs3vj4 -- source link
