theauspolchronicles:Liberals blame Labor for their bad economic performance for the 6th year in a row.The Liberals, who are best known for their tax cuts to the rich, are surprised to discover their budget surplus will be smaller than previously estimated due to less tax revenue. Weird huh? Who could’ve predicted that? The party that has seen poor wage growth over the past 6 years regrets to inform you all that wage growth is still bad. Unless you’re ScoMo in which case he got an over $10,000 raise earlier this year. But they’d like you to ignore that, especially if you’re a retail or hospo worker who had their penalty rates cut.The government also blames the devastating effects of drought and bushfires which is weird because their anti-climate action policies make those two things worse. If only there was some kind of… thing they could do to make those better. But what? That is the burning question.Clearly the solution is to blame Labor. Labor, which has been hailed by economists around the world for their amazing economic performance during the Global Financial Crisis, is apparently remarkably powerful as to be able to run the country and its economy even without being in government. Amazing. Imagine how powerful they’d be if they were in power and didn’t have that pesky Coalition majority weighing them down. -- source link
