han100894:iztarshi:So, yeah, I didn’t just do this on the spot, I remembered I’d made it a while ago although I don’t really know why. I don’t think I showed it to anyone. But this is my theory on how Sparks, Minions and Normal (not the best word, maybe, but I’m not sure what would be. Scientypical?) work in Girl Genius. I think Minions are just as different from Normal people as Sparks are, in a different direction. They have both different abilities (the ability to understand Spark Work and help with it) and different needs (the need to belong to or with a Spark).Minions with high Spark traits – on the left side of the triangle below the breakthrough line – act like Mechanicsburgers. Very enthusiastic, somewhat able to reproduce stuff on their own. Minions with high Normal traits – on the bottom – act like Moloch.Zeetha’s pretty much pure normal – she doesn’t feel a draw to Science, she doesn’t feel intimidated by or drawn to Sparks just because they’re Sparks. There’s definitely a psychological pull to Spark voices when they’re in the Madness Place. It tends to make Minions want to obey, Sparks want to join in and Normal people want to run. No one is actually immune to it – which is reasonable because a Spark in the Madness Place is bad news.More or less exactly what I was trying to explain in thatone reblog, are you sure you didn’t post it elsewhere cause I kind of rememberingseeing a chart. Though I do disagree about Zeetha.I might have posted it on Livejournal? I honestly can’t remember. There are probably all sorts of ways to disagree on where to place characters. You’d need a diagnostic questionnaire:When you see someone building a death ray do you feel the urge to:a) build a better oneb) bring them a spannerc) duck -- source link
