Japanese foklore is full of famous swords like mythical Kusanagi or the ones forged by MasamuneYouko*, is an ancient name for fox spirits. Nowadays, it has been slowy overlooked by the word “kitsune” Shishio, litterally “sika deer boy”. Deers are considered to be gods’ messengers. They were a symbol of warrior and archers’ spiritsOotengu, or daitengu are the highter ranked of the tengu family.
