momoka-peach:I tried dying some (crappy jo-anns ) white faux fur with RIT Dyemore. Everyone said the fur would melt. I even conditioned it after I washed it. This was after 30 mins. My only thoughts now is I could try for a lower than 180° temp, due for 5-10 mins, and see if the results change. I placed the dyed fur next to my original swatch and you can see that the tips are no longer long and wispy but shriveled and kinked. I achieved the color I wanted, but this would not work for what I want. -- source link
