dildowheel:cerebralzero:I bet this guy has some amazing stories.Anyone know what kinda rifle that is?I think that it is a Martini-Henry that has been converted into a Schuetzen style sporting rifle. Schuetzen rifles were custom made rifles popular among Germans, Swiss, and German Americans for hunting and target shooting. Highly ornate and decorative ones were built for the Schuetzenfest, a special target shooting fesitival (look it up, they are amazing) They took common breechloading rifles of the time, like Stevens, Remington Rolling Blocks, and Martini-Henry’s, stripped them down to the action, fabricated a new barrel, new trigger, stock, etc. -- source link
