hollowgroverp: ANDROMEDA SHAW(age.) seventy (species.) werewolf (occupation.) bartender at the saloon (residency.) arrived june 2019 (mirror.) zoe kravitz❝ a pavement of the pastAndromeda never had a chance for a normal life. Her father, Morgan, was searching for a son that he would never have, which led to the affair he had with her mother. His interest in Andromeda’s mother only lasted until their daughter was born, and then he moved onto another woman. Another child. But it wasn’t long before he decided there was a use for his daughters in his plans after all. While his legitimate children were being raised in a sheltered life, she was sheltered in a different way. Her mother bought into Morgan’s ideology, so even when her father wasn’t there, Andromeda was being taught about the dangers of humans and vampires, and never given a chance to discover otherwise. From the moment she could walk, she was raised to fight.Morgan wasn’t around much when she was younger. Not until she was fourteen. In the lead up to her fifteenth birthday, he began to appear more and more. Grooming her for triggering the curse, which she did on the night of her birthday. A week later, on the full moon, she transformed for the first time. Andromeda didn’t know what her purpose was for the next few years, but Morgan seemed to be planning something. He would send her on training missions, and pit her against others like her. Other girls she would learn were her sisters. She had to be stronger, faster, better to win his affections. Or risk his wrath. Then the war came, and she learnt what he had wanted for her. Andromeda fought with the Clave during the war, watching as her pack mates fell. Watching Morgan’s anger grow. Watching her sisters die around her. That was the hardest part. For all that they were competition, they were her family and Andromeda loved them more than anything. When the war came to a close and Alex disappeared, Andromeda watched as Morgan raged, fearing for once that her father would truly turn his anger on her. Knowing that if she betrayed him, he would. She stayed by his side, his loyal fighter for the years to come as they returned underground and rebuilt the pack. But Morgan remained loyal to the Clave, and so did Andromeda. Until one mission. Sent off on her own, Andromeda was hurt badly. Unable to get help and knowing that Morgan may not risk the resources even if she managed to contact him, she tried desperately to patch herself up. A young human doctor by the name of Samuel found her. Despite her protestations, he brought her to his home and cleaned her up. Andromeda, determined to leave at the soonest possible moment, couldn’t relax. Being human, she expected him to turn on her at any moment. As humans always had to her. But even when he discovered what she was, he didn’t. He was kinder than anyone she’d known. Despite herself… she was reluctant to leave. For months, she ended up staying with Samuel, and for the first time in her life, she felt free. All she’d ever known was survival, now Samuel was showing her how to live. And after months, she fell in love. It took longer for her to admit it, afraid that he could be taken away. As if by tragic irony, just as she began to believe her old life was behind her, it came to pull her back.Morgan himself came for her, having discovered where she was when an informant saw her with Samuel. He had to physically drag her out, throwing her into a van before she could escape. Meanwhile, he had another pack member stay behind to ‘take care’ of Samuel. Andromeda was distraught, and for once she stood up directly to her father. For that, she ended up with claws raked across her neck and chest, scars to remind her of what she’d done. Andromeda plotted her escape, knowing it was possible. One sister had managed it, all those years ago. She had to try. If not for her, then for the child she soon discovered she was carrying. It only took him a month to find her. And by now she couldn’t hide her secret. Morgan had her biggest weakness in his hands. You’d better stay with us, he told her. I’d hate for something awful to happen to your child. You never know what might happen out there. Dangerous world. The threat was clear. Andromeda stayed. Her daughter was born: Hope Shaw. And since then, Andromeda has done exactly what Morgan has demanded of her, all to protect her daughter. When he didn’t return after May in Hollow Grove, knowing of rumours that that was where her long lost sister Alex was, Andromeda followed. She had to know what had happened. She had to know if he was truly gone. If her daughter is safe.❝ the nature of the beastAndromeda is a survivor, first and foremost. She knows that she has to fight to stay alive, and to keep what she has, so she will. Cynical and snarky, she’s untrusting to those she meets. Even if she has a repertoire with someone and seems vaguely friendly, she’s incredibly unlikely to trust them in any meaningful way. She trusted before, and each time it’s been taken from her painfully. First in the Supernatural War, and then when Morgan killed Samuel. So the only being she lets herself love any more is her daughter. Andromeda would do anything for Hope, protecting her fiercely with everything she has. -- source link
