Derek immediately knows the epi is no good as a weapon if they’re trying to drug your opponents to give yourself the advantage–but Peter immediately hears that and sees an opportunity to weaponize it by drugging himself. It’s a gorgeous display of complementary thinking, of defensive vs. offensive, that not only highlights where their heads are respectively at in a fight, underscoring the different ways their personalities and trauma play out, BUT ALSO how quick both of them are in a crisis.
