barbucomedie:Diadem from Syria dated between the 2nd and 3rd Centuries CE on display at the Louvre Museum in Paris This diadem consists of eight groups of three gilded oak leaves and three medallions. Covered in a very fine goldleaf made it incredibly ornate and expensive but also very fragile. It is thought to be a used for burials as similar diadems are in manypainted portraits found in Egypt.Photographs taken by myself 2017 -- source link
