Two years ago today I landed at one of London’s airports after a 13 hour delay. I lost my train and ended up reaching my destination late at night. Weeks of stress and uncertainty were followed by journeys to breathtaking places and experiences I’d never thought I’d have. Starting a job you’re not familiar with, in a foreign country, isn’t the easiest thing, but as the time goes by, everything becomes smoother, brighter. All you need is determination and patience. Being a live-in carer is one of the most difficult things I’ve done, but it’s also rewarding. I still consider it to be a temporary job for me, but the places I get to visit and the people I get to meet thanks to it will forever be inside me. I can’t believe it’s already been two years… And before I took that first step back then, I couldn’t imagine that I would actually make it. Everything in this journey has made me who I am today and that’s why I’ll tell you: Take that chance that you’ve been thinking about but haven’t yet dared to take. Travel as much as you can and explore unfamiliar places until they become familiar. Meet new people. Open your eyes and ears and try to understand other people’s way of living; it will give you insight into their minds and that is by itself a unique experience. Look for the positive aspects of difficult situations, and for ways to make them a little less negative. Whatever happens, don’t stop chasing your dreams. And live EVERY moment of this incredible journey that is life! #experiences #lifeisbeautiful #travel #england #unitedkingdom #twoyearanniversary #wheredidthetimego #liveincarers #nofilter #beautifulplaces (at United Kingdom) -- source link
