glorygirl1: Yaaayyyy!! Safe and sound at the finish line! My first priority - after I survived my first big crash in South Africa at the Cape Argus in March at 40km/h which rattled my confidence and mojo on the bike - was to arrive at the finish line in one piece and the best part is that our whole pack made it safe and sound! I didn’t podium, but suspect a 5th place which is more than enough for me as I didn’t prepare for this race at an average of 35km a week over the last 4 months at really slow speeds. This race was bloody fast, I expected an average cruise of 30km/h, but the girls rocked it at an average pace of 35km/h and I almost lost my lungs…lol! A massive shoutout to @faz3 HH Sheikh Hamdan for making these incredible events possible!! I looooove how the leadership of Dubai encourages their people and expats to be more active and healthy!! Thank you for the fantastic organization of @nassportsdubai! I LOVE Dubai!! #nassports #MyDubai #mydubaistory #cycling #womenscycling (at GloryGirlFit) -- source link
