liftfitness: I always looked at cardio as a chore; a boring rotating band and heart rate monitors so you can pretend you know what the results mean about your bodies performance. Getting past the first ten minutes is the hardest part of any cardio routine, but once you hit that tenth minute the game changes. No longer is this a chore but a challenge to push yourself 5 more minutes, another 5 minutes, to that 500 calorie milestone. Jump on the treadmill, elliptical, or bike, set up a book or turn on your favorite music playlist and just get to ten minutes. From there on endorphins will kick in and you will truly surprise yourself. You’ll appreciate cardio and maybe even enjoy it. -- source link
