Timberline Trail | 8/18/20 | 24 Miles | Day 2 Waking up at 6, I packed up camp and began the climb out of Elk Cove. I thought this day was going to be a little easier than it turned out to be. As the morning continued to warm up, I made the miles in the morning fairly easily, but by the afternoon, it turned quite hot. I was glad to be able to get out on the Timberline Trail this Summer, it’s a hike I’ve enjoyed doing every year for the past couple of years.
