5starkutti: abidish: The Sylhet Division of Bangladesh is considered one of the most beautiful corners of Asia for it’s areas of outstanding natural beauty. It straddles the tropic of cancers and is located between the Khasi/Garo and Tripura hills, forming the Surma Valley. It is recipient of huge amounts of rain being located below the wettest place on earth, Maysynram and Cherrapunji in Meghalaya. Because of all these conditions, Sylhet is home to an array of Flora and Fauna such as the Pallas Fish Eagle and the Western Hillock Gibbon, both of which are listed as threatened species under IUCN.
