Rod Quantock, a founding-father of Melbourne’s comedy scene, photographed this April. Reknown for his political satire and work in theatre and radio, Quantock’s focus has unapologetically shifted to researching Climate Change. With a bleak outlook, he forecasts that civilisation will be forced to regress a 100 years to community focused living and provision. Parting from our lives of comfort and abundance will come whether we like it or not. With a family in need of regular care, he shared his gratefulness to have lived through the Carbon Age, but is perhaps a little sad he may not get to see the other side, a future era he brands as ‘exciting’.
