Gop Cave found in close proximity to Gop Cairn is a prehistoric cave that when excavated produced bones of prehistoric animals and human remains. The cave was used as a prolific burial chamber and although small, the space contained the bones of over fourteen individuals and was used for over a period of a thousand years.
