On the Go!There has been a stereotype that portrays nudists as out of shape old people usually lounging around a pool. That might still be true in some places and in the past, but that is certainly not true today!Today, more young people are getting involved in nudism/naturism. There are many youth organizations like Young Naturists America and Florida Young Naturists that are helping to popularize naturism to a new generation. I am grateful for all their hard work. Without their efforts and the efforts of all the clubs and resorts that promote healthy, family friendly nudity, there wouldn’t be any available. Like any interest, it must be supported and encouraged. That means people are willing to invest time, money, planning and dedication. Little of that comes easy or hassle free. Especially for events like the Nude World Bike Ride or the annual “Largest Skinny Dip” Guinness World Record attempt. More help is needed. With the closing of traditionally nude beaches, new ones must be found, laws must be challenged, and people need to learn what nudism is really about. Will there be nudists who fit the stereotype resort goer of yesteryear? Definitely. We’re people and all have a choice in how we live. But will that be the majority? Heavens no.
