Personal Space. Nudism and naturism is all about personal space. More specifically, respecting it. Most people wouldn’t believe nudist clubs and resorts are places they could go to get away from being hit on, oogled, and leered at. But it is. Giving people their space is a core tenet of what nudism and naturism is all about. Nudists and naturists believe people have a right to themselves. They shouldn’t be made to feel self conscious of who they are. No one should ever feel awkward about their body. If anything, we should become proud of who we are as we grow. That’s why naturists and nudists make spaces where everyone can feel safe to be themselves. Those who violate this trust and goal are quickly removed. I don’t want to give the impression that nudists never interact in personal ways. That doing so would always get them kicked out. Or that nudists never feel interested or attracted to each other. It’s counter to life and unreasonable to think otherwise. The point is, there are better and healthier ways to go about it than how many people do. No one likes being made an example of. No wants to be dissected by complete strangers. How awkward? At least it should be for the person who thinks doing so is okay. People are equal. Learn it, understand it, and own it. We are equal and all have a right to our own personal space. Allowing others their space is the best thing we can do for each other. We have a right to our own space. Everyone does.
