Board Shorts. Get it? Because they are behind the board? (Oh I’m going to get mail for that one.)  Seriously folks, nudists and naturists just aren’t into clothing. We’re just not. It should be normal to see nude people on a hot day. Expected even. Why? Because it’s comfortable and healthy.  Clothing keeps us from dealing with the heat or regulating our body temperature the ways we should. It’s also the main reason for body odor. Trapped sweat helps odor causing bacteria to breed. It also helps spread dangerous bacteria. Sweat is meant to help wash away those bacteria making it easier for the skin to stay healthy. Thinking about dirty skin reminds me of images of naked impoverished people the media likes to spread around. It associates nudity with being unclean and in poor health.Nudists know the opposite is true. Proper etiquette requires us to maintain a higher level of cleanliness than normal. Staying clean and allowing our bodies to regulate properly means we are healthier and more vibrant than people who have compromised themselves with clothing.  It’s a beneficial cycle that is easy to maintain. It’s also cost effective in that it save money in a variety of areas. Above all, being nude is a wonderful way to end the day. After all the hard work of work and play, there’s nothing like sitting down in front of the television or on the porch and enjoying a cool glass of water or lemonade.  No sweaty clothes to get in the way of the breeze or fan.
