hyperb0rean:Harvested a few of our meat birds (Transylvanian naked necks & Cornish X) and an old rooster, this afternoon. This is a very deliberate, messy and difficult process, just as it’s supposed be. My grandfather once told me that we should never expect others to do for us what we are not willing to do ourselves. I believe that if every person who ate meat could experience the entire process from birth to harvest there would be a whole lot more respect for the food we eat, and a whole lot less waste of it.#bloodandsoil #farmlife #tradition -- source link
