catskewl:catskewl:“The Love of Jeanne Ney”, 1927. ‘Margot’ (Hertha von Walther ) is told by the conniving Khalibiev ( Fritz Rasp ) that he intends on getting rid of his blind girlfriend, Gabrielle ( Brigitte Helm ) as soon as he gets her money. Horrified, Margot rushes to Gabrielle and tells her of the plot thus foiling Khalibiev’s plans. Undettered, Khalibiev decides he’ll murder her father and rob the place instead. Hearing noises, Gabrielle goes searching and finds the body of her murdered father on the floor. Happy birthday, Brigitte Helm (Gisele Eve von Kuenheim) , March 17, 1906.Most people celebrate her famous role in Metropolis (well deserved) but i think she was brilliant in so many other films that people don’t know about.
