Underground House built outside of Birmingham, Alabama by Jim and Mickey Mortensen. It took 7 years for them to move in, and the house and gardens are in continual development. Jim gathered the rocks and mixed the mortar, Mickey laid every singe stone.The Birmingham area is hot, muggy, and humid. A home like this would naturally provide cooling.
