Hmm, not so much…These were the aluminum gutters I was considering repurposing for hydro experiments. As it turns out, they’ve been wholly smashed, cut, covered in a weird material on the insides possibly fiberglass and have lots of holes… probably better off recycling these. I tried to bend them back into a more useful shape but didn’t have any luck. The top diagonal one is actually really long and even more warped than the one on the right. It is very possible that we have more gutters squirreled away here somewhere. In case we don’t, our metal recycling place always has tons of gutters for cheap, and sometimes in much better condition than these. The tricky part is that I can’t personally go to the metal recycling place - I get really really really really violently sick. I theorize that it is polluted with some super toxic shit, but I just don’t know. It makes me nervous for V though, I don’t like him spending time there either. Honestly it’s really a very depressing place, and it concerns me that it’s right on the river (pollution…), but they do provide an incredibly valuable service.I’m actually glad I’ve visited and spent time there, even if it made me super ill, b/c it was a real eye-opener, something I wished I’d done years ago. -- source link
