He just wants to be with Hiccup. Hes probably really scared and might not fully understand whats happening to him and he just sees Hiccup through the fog and just wants to reach him.I always loved the storyboards of this scene . The fact that it was animated and everything and then cut (and not included in the deleted scenes??? what are u doin dreamworks???) makes me kinda sad. -- source link
