bfire92:theia-mania-comics:Queen of the Dead 026The comic will now be taking a short break, since a friend will stay at my place from October 12th to 21st and I probably won’t be able to work on it during that time.I love this. I love thge “If I was a woman, I would have been a bitch, too. I mean, people would have called me that.”Because when a woman curse, is angry, or doesn’t want to back down, we’re called bitches. It’s un-feminine. We’re not allowed to take that role. Yeah. As I’ve mentioned before, a couple of reviews I’ve got here in Sweden described my Persephone as “sometimes quite unsympathetic” and “not always easy to like”. And they’re not wrong and it was great reviews, but for some reason they never said anything like that about Hades who can be just as rude. There is nothing wrong with sweet and innocent characters, but sometimes it annoys me that it’s almost always the female character (in heterosexual romance stories) who is the sweet, outgoing and conventionally pretty one. I wanted a Persephone that was introverted, eccentric and bitchy (but of course not too mean or without empathy). A Persephone that could catch Hades’ fancy not despite being a bit of a bitch, but because of it. -- source link
