talesfromweirdland:I’ve already talked about Once Upon a Time… Space (1982) being a very early sci-fi influence on me—another one was this show, Battle of the Planets (1978).I believe it was a sort of neutered version of the Japanese anime, Gatchaman, but I didn’t know that then of course; I just knew I found the villain, Zoltar, very very scary—and even scarier was The Spirit, with whom he sometimes conferred. Nightmares.My brother and I had action figures of the characters, and we played with them together. He voiced Mark and Keyop, I voiced Jason and Tiny, and neither one of us voiced Princess. -- source link
