i made a map of states i’ve been using this site because i was bored and procrastinating nano i’ve probably driven through more places, but for convenience’s sake i only included places i vaguely remember being in and that i definitely know i have at least driven through red - ‘not spent much time in' Connecticut - my parents and i stayed here while we were waiting for renting our apartment to go through. there was some weird paperwork shit and connecticut had a cheap hotel and we had never been there so we were like 'LET’S GO!’. that is literally my only memory of it Delaware - i forgot to color this one in b/c i forgot about it but i passed through it very briefly on my way to new york. like, VERY briefly. like i was through the state in about a half hour. Indiana - passed through on the way to new yorkpennsylvania - passed through on the way to new york & dc. all i remember is it had really curvy roads and made me ill so it didn’t make a favorable impression on me amber - slept in, seen some sights california - i went to disneyland when i was really young with my grandparents but i don’t really remember it illinois - been to chicago twice - once driving through and once visiting. had some really weird experiences there of having the police called on me and my grandparents (???) but overall my impression of the state was “it’s ok!”michigan - went here visiting family with my mom when i was little nebraska - went to omaha to see rent which was quite lovely. nice cobblestone streets. nebraska itself is not too impressive but omaha is very nice new jersey - stayed in atlantic city for awhile. did not like it. drove through various tiny new jersey towns and thought 'meh’ohio - i actually had a really good time in cleveland??? as surprising as that is. ohio overall wasn’t too impressive though blue - spent a lot of time in, seen a fair deal of minnesota - gone here many times to minneapolis for various shows and such. very nice place, would recommend visiting minneapolis to anybody new york - been to both upstate and the city so i’ve seen quite a fair deal of it. one of my favourite states ever and i would be living here if it wasn’t so fucking expensive. i am a huge fan of new york city like yooooo i’ve always wanted to live there and ok i could go on about new york forever but basically both upstate and the city are GREATwisconsin - also a very nice place! spent a good deal of time in madison which is a hippie college town a lot like amherst. very naturally beautiful, lots of hills and trees. green - spent a great deal of time inalaska - i was born here!! i still get homesick sometimes. one of the most naturally beautiful places in the entire world. i want to go back sometime. it’s a shame the state is so conservative because it is lovely, lovely, lovely. south dakota - unfortunately lived here for many years and regret it every day. terrible, terrible place i would not recommend living to anyone. i was miserable here. the black hills are okay though. massachusetts - WHERE I LIVE NOW and am greatly loving \m/ beautiful place, great people, A+ statei have never been to the south and plan on keeping it that way -- source link
