Gunston Hall in Winter, Fairfax County, Virginia, 1972.Constructed in the 1750s, the house is associated with the slave holder George Mason who is credited with writing the Virginia Declaration of Rights which morphed into the Constitution’s Bill of Rights. The house is a few km down the Potomac from George Washington’s Mt. Vernon. The property is now a museum with extensive gardens and reconstructed slave quarters on display. -- source link
