This costume, designed by Edith head was first worn by Judith Anderson as Flo Burnett in the 1950 film The Furies. It was worn again in 1952 on Miriam Hopkins as Julie Hurstwood in Carrie. The piece recently went up for sale at Bonhams, where it sold for $1402. It is described as follows:Full-length iridescent brown grosgrain full-skirted cloak decorated with frog closures and an asymmetric ruched front hook-and-eye closure, trimmed at the collar and cuffs, bearing an interior blue-lettered “Paramount” blank label.
