They’re set in a national park-type setting, and twoleg paths (wooden elevated bridges and paths) and rivers break up territories. Since it’s a national park, twoleg interference is minimal and forest fires aren’t a huge issue as the land is so marshy and rarely gets too dry to pose a problem.
