Marinette has a crush on Adrien, but she also supports Chat Noir. Adrien has feelings for Ladybug, but he’s also supportive of Marinette. They don’t give that support because they have a crush on the other person, they give it because they’re friends, and because they’re both kind simply for it’s own sake.Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to be supportive of the person you’re romantically interested in, too! But if they were only kind and supportive to the identities they had feelings for, it would make their relationship seem incredibly selfish and unhealthy. Instead they’re just so lovely and mutually respectful and supportive to each other, and that’s there regardless of which identities they’re in.
