The information is presented in a concise well organized way.The book itself discusses the legends of mermaids, as well as other suggestions for what mermaids could be, such as manatees. In addition, modern day popular culture mermaids are talked about, such as performers at water parks.The art is a mixture if famous paintings, drawings and photography. The mixture of illustrations does bring the text to life well.On the subject of whether or not mermaids are real, that is only one sentence in the entire book.
