A living weapon who answers to His Radiance alone, delighting in setting his enemies ablaze as their minds collapse under psychic assault! With the new content of 5.35, I’m contemplating on having Varis send him to take back Castrum Lacus Litore and fight against the Bozjan Resistance.However, Lucius has not seen live combat since undergoing the Resonance Process and neither he nor Varis is aware of the full extent of his strength…Varis expects him to retake the Castrum with a small contingent of soldiers - a strike team, who will later meet up with the remnants of the IVth (who have not defected from Garlemald as in Lucius’s Canon, Varis does not get assassinated and all the Legions are still very much under his control.)Lucius levels the entire fucking place to the ground. At first, the soldiers aren’t sure what just happened, ears ringing and eyes blinded by smoke. And then they hear the screaming. Since the events of Shadowbringers Do Not Happen in Lucius’s canon, all this business with Bozja is probably a direct result of the Ivalice Storyline, as well as the Eorzean Alliance failing to take Ala Mhigo (which remains in Zenos’s control). So, the Alliance is pushing on the Eastern Front - they’ve got Doma, and are going to reinforce the Bozjan Resistance with as much might as they can. Of course, the bulk of their forces do need to stay home and protect their territory there, lest the Garleans move back into the Praetorium and nae nae the entirety of Thanalan. It’s towards the end of the first year of Lucius and Varis working together that Zenos retakes Baelsar’s Wall - spoilers for their canon story, but Zenos is pissed that his dad loves his new Resonant pet more than his own damn son and goes on a genocidal rampage where he knows he won’t cop flak for it. Win for the Empire; they get their wall back. The Alliance, meanwhile, is shitting itself. And Varis does too, because his son has basically done a big ole war crime and the enemy *will* retaliate.Man, I’ve got to write all this down! -- source link
