)O( APPLE BLOSSOM MAGIC )O(The plants are giving their last hurrah before fall’s cold fingertips begin to brush over them. Some vegetables taste better after frost. Cabbage, leeks, parsnips, kale, to name a few.But here in my garden there’s magic afoot. My little apple tree had produced 12 smallish apples, guarded from hungry possums by the dryad in the tree next door. But only half the tree was awake during the late spring/summer months, and now the other half has awoken and is bursting with beautiful pinkish-white flowers by the dozens, preparing to make more apples. Apparently there’s still some magic left in this tree! To honor this sudden little burst of abundance I’m carefully collecting the petals to dry and use in magical candles that I’m crafting for some pagan friends of mine for Yule! Many pagans know the rich and wonderful lore regarding apples and all the magic and fortune telling you can do with them. But what of the blossoms?Apple blossoms are mainly used in love and healing spells, and if you’ve never smelled the light scent coming from the blossoms, you’re missing out! They really smell like spring. Sweet and light and you keep wanting more!I hope your fall is treating you well, that you’re seeing an abundance of your fall crops, and that you’ve found a bit of magic in your gardens as well–whether its a container on your window sill or 3 acres of land!)O( Blessed Be )O( -- source link
