She name-checked the famous Klingon opera “X and Y” and left it for whoever at the Paramount fiction-supervision office supplied “approved Klingon” to fill in appropriate names for “X” and “Y”. (Yes, there was such an office, and such a functionary; there may still be.)Except, or perhaps that should be Xcept, they missed the “please supply Klingon names here” note, and “X and Y” is what went into print.
