operafantomet: The Manager’s Office costumes explained by ShikiCARLOTTA: “It is coordinated based on white and black as a whole. Carlotta’s dress stands out for its luxury. The skirt is generous and looks like many fabric layers, but it’s just folded and it’s one single fabric. That much fabric is used abundantly. Every part has a flower or plant motif”. Depicted: Aya Kawamura. MEG GIRY: “She is the daughter of Madame Giry, a ballet teacher at the Opera, and a confidante of Christine. She wears the same costumes as the other ballerinas. The design is based on the ballerinas painted by the Impressionist French painter Edgar Degas.” Depicted: Mariko Gosho. MANAGERS: “The new managers of the Opera, M. Andre and M. Firmin. Both of them wear tailcoats, but if you look closely you can see the exquisite differences in the pattern of the vest, the pattern of the pants, and the fabric of the tailcoat”. Depicted: Yusuke Kitawara (André) and Koichi Taira (Firmin). FULL LINEUP: Mariko Gosho (Meg), Atsuto Yamada (Piangi), Toshihide Mura (Firmin), Kenichi Mitsuda (Raoul), Aya Kawamura (Carlotta), Morito Matsuda (André), Aiko Toda (Madame Giry) ( From Shiki’s Twitter ) (original design by Maria Bjørnson)Thanks to @ballerinadellamusica for the identifications -- source link
