kai-ni:This is Luna - her back is a little krinkly because her first owner didn’t give her calcium. She had really brittle bones because of it and had a lot of fractures in her back. She’s doing much better these days - she gets calcium and a little UVB with the shelter she’s at, and recently the vet cleared her as healthy enough to be adopted :) Her bones aren’t brittle anymore now that she’s getting proper calcium, but her back will never be the same. She’s active, eats extremely well and does all the lil things a geck should do, so she’s lucky to have gotten help. But remember - research ANY animal before you buy it. Fully understand its needs, because mistakes or willful ignorance can cripple or kill that animal. Even small animals like geckos, hamsters and fish have complex needs that need to be met. -- source link
