While I can appreciate the phrasing here and what it was intended to convey, let us remember that Jesus was not this super rad and kind dude. This was the guy who:- spoke boldly despite his ignorance (claiming that the mustard seed was the smallest seed, but it wasn’t even the smallest seed known at that time)- got irrationally angry, such as cursing a fig tree because it was not fig season- spoke against his family in public because they disagreed with his wild claims and way of sharing those claims- got so angry with people (moneychangers) that he went home and fashioned a whip to beat them, then returned with that whip; started flipping over tables and acting aggressively- spoke down to his buddies when they asked for clarification Huh, I guess there are a lot of similarities between evangelicals and Jesus… -- source link
