honeyhemlocked: the contents of my bag! on the top row: • my Boogie Board Sync for Christmas my husband bought me this little guy that allows me to store paperless notes and upload them to my phone or computer via Bluetooth. it’s rechargeable, and the battery lasts for a week of constant use. it’s awesome and I can’t wait to bring it to my next birth! • a tiny flask of hot sauce… my brother gave this to me because almost everything I eat requires hot sauce. heh. • my essential oil bag this little vintage carrying case was given to my by my cousin! it perfectly fits four of my most-used essential oils, some make-up, and a folding mirror. • my wallet! I love this thing. I purchased this at a zero-waste shop in New Hampshire. it’s made of recycled hemp, it’s super simple, and it’s durable. on the bottom row: • a bottle of Dr. Bronners. it’s multi-purpose and a little goes a long way. I carry it just in case something needs washing - clothes, dishes, body, hair, hands, whatever! aaaand, I have it in case I need to wash my: • menstrual cup! if you get your period and you haven’t purchased one of these yet, do yourself a favor. don’t be deterred by the outrageously expensive Diva Cups - there are many affordable options when it comes to menstrual cups. check Amazon, they range anywhere from $7-$40 there! and if, after a couple cycles, it doesn’t work for you, you can absolutely sterilize it and resell it online! • my passport, pens, and chargers my (other) cousin gave me this super cute little recycled feedbag pouch where I keep little things that need protecting. • my water bottle. now that I have this, there’s really no excuse to continue purchasing bottled water when I’m out and about. I’m also reminded to stay hydrated (which is sometimes difficult for me), and even drink from it at home, which saves me from having to wash a glass! • my journal I’ve journaled since I was a kid, and while I use my Sync pretty often for note-taking and getting organized, I still document my life using journals. not pictured here because there was no room: • 5 lovely produce bags • 5 lovely bulk bags not pictured here because there was no room AND I left them in my mum’s car like a CHAMP: • my bamboo to-go ware I love these so much. a fork, a spoon, a knife and a set of chopsticks in a little pouch. • my stainless steel straw (which I can keep in the very same pouch) • my compostable bamboo toothbrush just take the bristles out, recycle them, and compost the handle. • toothpowder (baking soda, activated charcoal & essential oils) -- source link
